Liverpool are interested in Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and could make a winter move for the player. The Merseyside giants are plotting a swap deal that could see either of Keita or Firmino move to the Nerazzurri. Serie A giants are in financial turmoil and need to offload a few footballers in January.
None of the footballers in their current squad is currently being considered untouchable in terms of a potential departure from San Siro. Quite a few of their footballers have been linked with exits in January, including the likes of Skriniar and Dumfries, both linked with Chelsea.
Croatia international has previously been courted by the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona, but the Italian giants have managed to hold on to the midfielder so far. However, the situation could change as the Merseyside giants are now considering a move for Brozovic.
Marcelo has been with the Nerazzurri since 2016, having joined the Serie A club from Dinamo Zagreb. The 29-year-old midfielder has played 289 matches for Inter Milan across all tournaments since then, scoring 28 goals and providing 37 assists in the process.
The Merseyside giants are prepared to offer one of Keita and Firmino in a possible swap deal that would see the Croatian midfielder move to Liverpool. Liverpool have an ageing midfield, and new additions would be welcome in the department amid links with Jude Bellingham, Matheus Nunes, and others.
