Another day, another story on the future of Aurelien Tchouameni, who is strongly linked with a move to Liverpool. As per recent reports, the German tactician is keen on securing the midfielder, moreover, the France international wants to move to Liverpool. Tchouameni’s current contract with Monaco will expire in the summer of 2024.
As far as the asking price is concerned, there are many reports going on in the media. Liverpool would need to pay a fee of over £50m to add Aurelien, who could eventually replace Henderson and Thiago. The 22-year-old midfielder further added that the price may even rise to £60m if Les Monegasques end up qualifying for the UCL.
At the moment, Stade Rennais occupy the final UCL qualification spot, and they are only ahead of Monaco on goal difference. The French midfielder is going to cost £59m in the summer transfer window. The Spanish source have mentioned that the valuation is a stumbling block for Real Madrid, who believe that only strikers are rated that high.
La Liga giants are hoping that the Frenchman and his agent will push Monaco to lower the asking price. Nevertheless, keeping in view the high demand, Les Monegasques have made the suitors aware that an offer worth £59m will be needed to sign the defensive midfielder.
Liverpool, Man United and other interested sides around Europe have been told that the former Bordeaux midfielder will cost only short of £60m if he is to leave Ligue 1 giants in the summer.
