The Merseyside club have reportedly made contact over a possible transfer swoop for Watford forward Ismaila Sarr. Senegal international has impressed in his time in the PL, and it makes sense that clubs might be keen to keep him in the top flight following Hornets’ relegation in the campaign only gone.
The Merseyside giants are one of three Premier League clubs to register an interest in Ismaila, along with Wolves and Crystal Palace. However, the report claims none of the aforementioned clubs have made a concrete bid for Sarr, so it stays to be seen how this saga will pan out.
The Merseyside giants could do with a winger transfer this summer as Adam Lallana is out of the deal and Xherdan Shaqiri has largely fallen out of favour after struggling to impress in his time at Merseyside club.
The 22-year-old winger could be a fine fit for Liverpool, with the attacker also perhaps at the perfect stage in his career as he wouldn’t necessarily command a starting spot straight away, but could in the future if he continues to develop and improve.
Liverpool won the title by some distance in 2019/20 but must continue to strengthen if they are to keep their place at the top, as the Blues have already been busy so far this summer and the likes of Man United and Man City will most likely invest a lot as well.
The Senegalese attacker is the right profile that Reds tend to target young and on the cusp of fulfilling his full ability but there is a potential stumbling block.
