Liverpool held negotiations with £70m-rated Italy international

Liverpool keeping tabs with Napoli superstar Lorenzo Insigne as Merseyside club need a new creative attacker to improve the front-line much more. Klopp ready to spend big money on the footballer this summer but it will be difficult to sign him as little Donkeys aren’t going to sell such an important figure during the transfer window.

Italy international has an impressive campaign and proves his worth one more time. He is a product of Napoli youth academy and spent his current career with them. In this season, Insigne already played 34 matches, scored 13 goals and made seven assists in all competition. It is a fantastic result, and he can do much more with high-class partners.

Man City and PSG also keen to sign him and there will be a real battle for the player. His price could increase and become much more. Little Donkeys won the Europa League first match with Salzburg 3-0 and almost reached the quarter-finals. Lorenzo is a regular member of the national team which is already a big success for the player.

The 27-year-old winger has contracted with the club until 2022, and his release clause is nearly £70m. Merseyside club signed several footballers last summer like Naby Keita from RB Leipzig, Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke City, Fabinho from Monaco and Alisson Becker from Roma.

Liverpool also linked with Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski, Lyon star Nabil Fekir, RB Leipzig attacker Timo Werner and Real Madrid footballer Isco. Reds won the Champions League game with Bayern Munich 3-1 and reached the quarter-finals.
