According to the Daily Star, Liverpool have made a £15m pffer for Lyon defender Emanuel Mammana.
The Reds head coach Jurgen Klopp is willing to splash the cash this summer with Champions League football returning to Merseyside next season. And the recent reports from Sport Review claim that the Reds have launched a £15m (€17m) bid for Lyon’s Mammana.
It is believed that Liverpool are ready to offer the 21-year-old a five-year contract deal worth £2.8m-per-year.
But the Argentine defender is waiting for permission from Lyon to speak to the Premier League giants and discuss personal terms. The same sources also claim that Mammana wants the two clubs to agree a fee first before opening talks.
The South American centre-back has made 17 Ligue 1 appearances for the French giants last season, netting one goal.
Jurgen Klopp has already secured AS Roma star Mohamed Salah and Chelsea ace Dominic Solanke this summer.
Meanwhile, Naby Keita has hit heart set on a move to Anfield and has already picked out his shirt number.
The RB Leipzig youngster has been strongly linked with a transfer to Merseyside club in recent weeks with the Reds reportedly preparing a mammoth £70m offer for his signature.
The Reds set a new club-record last month when they signed Egypt international Mohamed Salah from AS Roma for around £37m, but a deal for Naby Keita would eclipse that fee by some distance.
