Dusan Vlahovic is facing an uncertain future at Fiorentina. Although the La Viola is determined to keep hold of his services in the summer, their efforts to tie the centre-forward down to a new deal has stalled, which could potentially force them to cash in on him after the end of the campaign.
It has put PL pair Liverpool and Man United on red alert, although they could face stiff competition from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund while the likes of Roma and Milan have also expressed their design the sign Vlahovic this summer.
Highly regarded as one of the breakout stars of the Serie A this campaign, Dusan is currently valued at €60m and it appears Fiorentina will have to offer him a salary of nearly €3m–€4m per year in order to extend his deal.
It could be a tricky ask for the La Viola, especially in the current financial climate, thus opening a chance for major PL clubs, like Liverpool and Man United, to secure his services in the summer. It serves as a big boost for the Reds, in particular, as they are in the market for a new centre-forward this summer.
They have been sensationally linked with a move to re-sign Luis Suarez from Atletico, but in Serbia international, they could find themselves a viable long-term prospect, who is more than ready to ply his trade in the PL.
In the ongoing season, the 21-year-old striker has netted as many as 17 goals in only 32 league games, with his contributions in front of goal making him one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dire season for the La Viola.
