PSG centre-forward Kylian Mbappe has fuelled talks of a move to Anfield by heaping praise on the Merseyside giants and boss Jurgen Klopp. France international has been linked with a move to both Liverpool and Real Madrid this summer, although Parisians are undoubtedly keen to keep hold of their lethal attacker.
Kylian has been in impressive form since arriving from Monaco in 2017, scoring 90 goals in 120 appearances in all tournaments. It would take a huge bid to tempt Parisians to let him go, but Mbappe has kept Reds fans’ hopes alive by speaking very highly of the club and the manager.
‘This campaign, Reds have been a machine in the PL,’ Mbappe said. ‘They have made winning seem easy, but the truth is that it is never easy. Displays, like they have been having, don’t only happen. To be as ruthless as they have been would come from lots of hard work in training and from having a perfect manager.’
It was reported in April that Jurgen had been in contact with the 21-year-old winger’s father, Wilfried, who also acts as Mbappe’s agent, over a possible summer move. The contact was well received, and the Frenchman has not extended his Parisians deal, which runs till 2022, amid the club offering him an extension.
Parisians have feared Kylian Mbappe would leave the club for some time, particularly after he intimated he would look for a new challenge elsewhere last summer after winning the Ligue Player and Young Player of the Year awards.
