The Merseyside giants are reportedly interested in signing Napoli playmaker Fabian Ruiz after having a bid for Isco rejected. Liverpool have shifted their focus to Spain international after Real Madrid rejected their £47m offer for the playmaker.
Currently valued at €60m, Fabian has done pretty well for the Serie A giants since joining them from Real Betis, featuring in 66 games for them with eight goals and five assists to his name. This campaign, Ruiz has played in all but one of Napoli’s games, scoring a goal with Lecce while providing two assists with Verona and Atalanta.
The 23-year-old midfielder was also linked to Man United. The Spanish playmaker is among the finest midfielders in Serie A, but Reds have several quality footballers in that department that include Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita.
Hence, it looks doubtful that the Reds will make a move for him. Liverpool have fantastic consequences in the Premier League this campaign as they are leading the table.
Merseyside club signed several footballers during the summer transfer window like Sepp van den Berg from Zwolle, Harvey Elliott from Fulham, Spanish goalkeeper Adrian and English shot-stopper Andy Lonergan. Reds also added Takumi Minamino from RB Salzburg this January.
English giants strongly linked with RB Leipzig centre-forward Timo Werner, Arsenal striker Gabriel Martinelli, Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz, Borussia Dortmund attacker Mario Gotze, PSG forward Kylian Mbappe, Wolves winger Adama Traore, Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare, Sevilla centre-back Diego Carlos and Vitesse defender Max Clark.
