Liverpool keen on to sign Lazio’s goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha. The Albanian international has a £18m release clause in his contract. The 23-year-old kept 11 clean sheets in 38 appearances last season and would replace Loris Karius. Lazio’s sporting director has said is happy to allow his goalkeeper to leave the club. This transfer would be good for both side because Strakosha is a high-class keeper and in this season proved this fact several times.
Liverpool made their signings past days. Fabinho and Naby Keita already joined the Reds. Liverpool have just £50m to spend this summer, and Strakosha will likely be available at a good price. As well as Karius and Mignolet’s future in Liverpool uncertain, with the 30-year-old, wants to join the club where he will get regular game time. Strakosha would be Mignolet’s long-term replacement. The Albanian’s current Lazio contract runs until 2022. Thomas is keen to join Liverpool this summer.
Except for Liverpool, Thomas Strakosha linked with Napoli, Arsenal and Roma. Albanian goalkeeper left out of World Cup as Albania couldn’t gain Russia ticket.
