Liverpool are set to upset local rivals Everton with a swoop for Dynamo Kiev’s Andriy Yarmolenko.
Ukrainian star has talked up a move to the Premier League in recent weeks and has reportedly attracted the attention of the Toffees.
However, according to The Sun, the Reds are hoping to snatch the 26-year-old from under the noses of their Merseyside rivals.
It’s said the Anfield side would be willing to part with £25million for the services of the forward who’s scored seven goals for club and country this term.
Ukraine coach Mykhaylo Fomenko fuelled speculation of his move to the Premier League this week by suggesting he should test himself in England’s top flight.
“If he is wanted by the top English clubs then, yes, he can show his best in the Premier League and he must do this,” he said.
“He is the leader of our team and leader of our squad.”
