Leicester planning shock move for £120,000-a-week Reds forward

Leicester City keen on signing Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge and ready to compete with Tottenham, Real Betis and Besiktas for the footballer. Foxes have problems in the front-line as Jamie Vardy, and Shinji Okazaki already up to 31 and their replacement is necessary.

England international is the perfect choice in this situation as he also wants to get regular game time and set to listen to offers from the clubs. Brendan Rodgers will do everything to add him this summer, but it will be difficult as Spurs, Heliopolitans and Black Eagles also planning to make a bid during the summer transfer window.

There will be a contest for the player, and his price could become much more. Sturridge joined the Merseyside club from Chelsea in 2013 with a €15m deal. He was an unchanged figure for the club, but after Roberto Firmino arrived in Liverpool, he moved to the bench.

In this campaign, Daniel already played 24 matches, scored four goals and made two assists in all tournament. English striker has contracted with the Reds until 2019, and his release clause is nearly €20m. Foxes have a good result in the Premier League as they are in a 7th place in the table and have a big chance to finish this tournament in top 10.

English club signed several footballers last summer like James Maddison from Norwich, Ricardo Pereira from Porto, Caglar Soyuncu from Freiburg, Filip Benkovic from Dinamo Zagreb, Danny Ward from Liverpool, Rachid Ghezzal from Monaco and Jonny Evans from West Bromwich Albion. Leicester City also added Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans this January with a season-long loan deal.
