Leeds United have been linked with a potential transfer swoop for Red Devils winger Daniel James as he seems likely to fall out of favour at Man United. The 22-year-old winger joined Man United from Swansea City last summer and initially looked a bright prospect with a strong start in the Norwegian manager’s side.
Daniel’s future now seems in doubt, however, as Red Devils are still working on addition Jadon Sancho, with Ivan Perisic an alternative in that place. If Man United do land a wide player of that ilk, it is expected to push James further down the pecking order, which could see Peacocks revive their interest in him in a loan with a view to a permanent transfer.
The report claims the Peacocks had been keen on Wales international while he was at Swansea, so this could finally be their opportunity to bring him to Elland Road. Marcelo Bielsa has put an exciting squad together as Peacocks look to survive in the PL following their return to the top flight after 16 years.
The Welsh forward could be another excellent signing to help the Yorkshire giants stay up. Daniel was replaced by Mason Greenwood at the interval as Red Devils slumped to a 3-1 defeat against Crystal Palace at Theatre of Dreams on the weekend.
Long-term admirer Marcelo Bielsa believes he could capture Daniel for nearly £12m plus add-ons. Peacocks could also consider a loan move for the out-of-favour teenager, who would add scintillating pace to an attack that has provided seven goals in their opening two PL matches.
