La Liga giants leading race to sign £20m-rated Reds loanee footballer

Atletico Madrid in pole position to sign Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic and planning to make a big in July when the transfer window opens again. Los Rojiblancos have problems in the midfield as Rodrigo Hernandez, Saul Niguez and Thomas Partey linked with several clubs and they need back-up.

Serbia international is the perfect choice in this situation as he has a great season and paid attention. Diego Simeone set to spend big money on the footballer during the summer transfer window. Galatasaray, Bayern Munich and Lazio are also keen to sign him, and there will be a real contest for the player.

Marko joined Hertha BSC from the Reds in 2018 with a season-long loan deal. He is one of the best midfielders in Bundesliga and unchanged figure for the club. In this campaign, Grujic already played 20 matches, scored four goals and made one assist in all competition.

It is an impressive result, and he can improve his consequences with high-class partners. The 23-year-old midfielder is a regular member of the national team which is already a big success for the player. Atletico Madrid have bad results in this season as they are in a second place in La Liga table and kicked out from the Champions League and Copa del Rey.

Los Rojiblancos added several players last summer like Nikola Kalinic from Milan, Gelson Martins from Sporting, Thomas Lemar from Monaco, Rodrigo Hernandez from Villarreal, Santiago Arias from PSV and Antonio Adan from Real Betis. Spanish club also added Chelsea centre-forward Alvaro Morata this winter with a season-long loan deal.
