Juventus are reportedly interested in offering Nemanja Matic a contract if the Red Devils do not choose to renew his current deal. Serbia international’s contract is up at the end of the campaign although Man United do have the option of extending it for another year.
But if Red Devils do not choose to keep Nemanja, Bianconeri will be at the front of the queue to offer him a contract for the 2020-21 campaign. Old Lady had been in for Matic’s team-mate Paul Pogba after a summer in which he appeared to agitate for a move, but French star ended up staying, and Juve have been forced to make other plans.
The 31-year-old midfielder is an ideal candidate, having been frozen out of Man United with only one substitute appearance this campaign, until yesterday when he was drafted into the starting line-up despite a Red Devils injury crisis.
But he did little to convince Norwegian manager that he should be a more regular participant in starting line-up and was replaced by Fred after only an hour. The Serbian midfielder was said to have been frustrated by Man United’s failure to allow him to move on over the summer.
‘In the first two or three matches he Solskjaer determined the team without me,’ Nemankja said. ‘I work as hard as I can, we respect the decision, it is mine to show him that he was wrong and to bring me back to where I belong.‘ Emre Can wants to leave the Serie A champions and his replacement is necessary.
