Juventus in advanced talks with €45m-rated Man United midfielder

Juventus are considering rescuing Donny van de Beek from Man United as soon as January. The 23-year-old player was mightily impressive over a period of great success for Ajax both domestically and on the European stage. As a result, Red Devils made their move in the summer.

Red Devils had forked out £39m to secure the services of Donny, who would strengthen the Norwegian’s selection options in the middle of the park. However, not all has gone to plan at van de Beek thus far.

The Dutch midfielder has struggled to force his way into the Red Devils starting eleven, despite the club forking out such a hefty amount to sign him just a few months ago. As a result, the Old Lady have reportedly been alerted to the situation.

Bianconeri are considering making a move for the Netherlands international, as soon as the winter transfer window, with the hope of reuniting with ex-Ajax teammate Matthijs de Ligt.

It looks highly improbable that the Red Devils would be willing to give up on their investment so soon, but there’s only so long that Donny can sit among the substitutes before he grows tired of it.

Red Devils, meanwhile, are reported to be on the brink of completing the signing of Hakan Calhanoglu on a free transfer from Milan with the Turkish attacker unlikely to sign a new contract to stay with the Serie A club. The attacker has already rejected a potential move to Juventus because he favours a switch to Man United.
