London club have reportedly given the green light to an exit for Marcos Alonso, with both Juventus and Inter Milan said to be interested in the defender. Spain international arrived at Chelsea in 2016 and has since gone on to make 128 appearances for the Blues.
However, with Frank Lampard favouring Emerson Palmieri at times this campaign, question marks have been raised over his future at Stamford Bridge. Premier League giants have now decided that they are willing to bid farewell to Marcos, and Italian giants are linked with a swoop to take him back to Serie A after his previous stint with Fiorentina.
Further, it’s added that Chilwell is being lined up by English coach as a permanent solution at left-back, but it stays to be seen whether or not they can prise the 22-year-old left-back away from rivals Leicester City who continue to impress this campaign.
For Marcos though, it sounds as if his time at London club may be coming to an end, but time will tell if either Old Lady or Nerazzurri can offer a deal which Chelsea consider acceptable to give the go-ahead to their defender moving on. The 28-year-old left-back won the Premier League and Europa League with Chelsea.
After some difficulties in the early stages of the campaign, Blues were able to move up to the fifth position in the Premier League table after eight matches, level with fourth-placed Leicester on 14 points, and so Frank could be backed in the transfer market moving forward to build on the positive work done thus far.
