Jurgen Klopp desperate to agree Swap deal for 15-goal Prolific midfielder

Merseyside Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly requested an ambitious swap deal with Serie A outfits Fiorentina for Josip Ilicic, who has impressed German manager with his performance this term.

Italian football site CalcioMercatoWeb claims that Liverpool have offered out-of-favour Italian forward Mario Balotelli in return.

German manager looks set to overhaul the Reds struggling squad this summer after Europe League failure.

And Ilicic seems to be an ideal addition to his squad after attacking midfielder netted 15-goals for Florence club added six more assists in 37 appearances.

Liverpool forward Balotelli has spent the season on loan at AC Milan and has not impressed not Italian side nor Merseysiders.

Ex-Manchester City star has netted just once in 18 appearances for the club.

Milan Ceo Adriano Galliani claimed last month that there are no talks with Liverpool over Balotelli’s future.

“We’ve never talked with Liverpool,” he told Premium Sport.

“Leave us to finish the season. From May 22 onwards we’ll talk about the transfer market. There is no meeting scheduled with Liverpool.”

The 25-year old was signed from Ac Milan for £16m in 2014 and being thought to be  a replacement for South American Superstar Luis Suarez who has joined La Liga champions Barcelona.
