Bianconeri are reportedly prepared to offer three of their fringe footballers in part-exchange for top target Adama Traore. Spain international who still has three years left on his deal at Molineux is understood to have no shortage of admirers should he decide to leave.
Adama has been hugely fantastic for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side this season chipping in with six goals and 12 assists in 48 matches in all tournaments. Wolves league rivals Liverpool, Man City and Man United have all been credited as admirers of Traore.
But the Bianconeri are thought to be leading the race and are working on a proposal which could see three footballers move in the opposite direction. Old Lady are willing to part with shot-stopper Mattia Perin as well as defenders Daniele Rugani and Cristian Romero, who is on loan at Genoa.
The report adds that Serie A giants would not be able to afford the 24-year-old winger in a straight cash deal with Wolves setting a £60m price tag on the speedster. Italian centre-back Rugani has been on the West Midlander’s radar before, having rivalled Arsenal for his signature back in winter.
Wolves boss Espirito Santo still needs a centre-back and it is felt the Spanish winger would be perfect for his three at the back system. Adama meanwhile is also a target for former employers Blaugrana. Traore, born and raised in Catalonia, came through La Liga giants academy where he scored one goal in four matches.
After a lack of first-team chances, he made the move to Aston Villa in 2015, before linking up with Middlesbrough the following year.
