Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic has joined Bhoy from Dinamo Zagreb, and it’s strange for him to play during the Christmas Period.
However, Croatian star is excited by the prospect of playing during the Holiday period.
“In Croatia, we have the break a week before Christmas starts, which lasts until February, so we have a break for about a month-and-a-half with two or three weeks rest, and then we start preparing again,” Simunovic said to clubs official website.
“It will be strange, but this is good for me. I need games. All I can do is be happy and play matches.”
The defender has finally able to shake off a series of injuries, which had prevented him from playing regularly and wants to concentrate on football.
“I was a bit sad as the injury stopped me and I missed a lot of games but this all behind me and the only crucial thing is I go forward in each game, and it can only get better.”
The 21-year-old defender was signed by Bhoy’s boss Ronny Deila in the summer, but has failed to breakthrough to the first team so far this season, but it was due to a series of injuries.
