The London giants star N’Golo Kante’s possible move to Inter Milan reportedly hinges on rivals Spurs securing the signing of highly-rated defender Milan Skriniar. France international moved to Blues in 2016 from Foxes famous 2015-16 title-winning side in a move which cost Chelsea £33m and has gone onto enjoy a successful three-year spell.
N’Golo’s spell in Chelsea has seen him lift three major titles including his second consecutive PL trophy in the 2016-17 campaign. Despite being part of Blues domestic and European success in the last three years, Kante’s future has been thrown into doubt this summer after it emerged that the player is a shock transfer target for Inter Milan.
The Nerazzurri reportedly offered ex-Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen to Chelsea in a swap deal to lure the 29-year-old midfielder the other way and bring the midfielder to the San Siro. Inter Milan are considering making a fresh attempt to land Frenchman but in order to raise the required funds will need to offload defender Skriniar first.
Slovakia international is reportedly a target for Jose Mourinho who is looking to strengthen his defensive options, however, a possible move for the highly-rated centre-backs stays uncertain as the Nerazzurri hold out for a £55m offer with Tottenham only willing to offer up to £45m.
All the noise coming out of Italy suggests that in order for both Inter Milan and Tottenham to land their targets, the sale of the 25-year-old centre-back will play a pivotal role. The Nerazzurri already signed Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid, Aleksandra Kolarov from Roma and Arturo Vidal from Barcelona during this transfer window.
