French club eager to sign 29-year-old former Liverpool centre-forward

Ex-Liverpool centre-forward Daniel Sturridge could be on Monaco’s radar if Radamel Falcao decides to leave the Les Monegasques this transfer window. Falcao’s future has come under the scanner as there are suggestions that he could consider leaving the French club in the coming days in favour of a move to Super Lig.

Ligue 1 club have already been putting in contingency plans should they lose the Colombian striker before the end of the European transfer window. England international could be moving to Monaco if the Les Monegasques lose Radamel in the coming days and weeks.

Sturridge is yet to find a club after leaving the Merseyside club at the end of his contract this transfer window. He recently flew to Turkey to hold negotiations with Super Lig club Trabzonspor, but it is unclear whether a deal has been struck. Sturridge won the Champions League two times with Liverpool and Chelsea.

The 29-year-old centre-forward could have one more option to consider if Falcao also leaves Monaco in the coming days. But French club may need to move early as the English striker is keen to sort out his future as soon as possible. Last season Daniel played 27 matches, scored four goals and provided two assists in all competitions.

Monaco had terrible consequences in Ligue 1 as they finished the tournament in a 17th position. French club already signed Gelson Martins from Atletico Madrid, Wissam Ben Yedder from Sevilla, Benjamin Lecomte from Montpellier, Henry Onyekuru from Everton and Ruben Aguilar from Montpellier during this summer transfer window.
