€50m-rated midfielder prefers to stay in Arsenal amid several offers

Granit Xhaka decided to remain in Arsenal despite several offers from Inter Milan and Roma. It is fantastic news for the London club as he is an unchanged figure for the club and it will be difficult to replace him with another player. Switzerland international had an impressive season and proved his worth one more time.

Gunners are planning to offer him a new long-term contract during the summer transfer window. Xhaka joined the English club from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2016 with a €45m deal. He became a key person for the club and scored many incredible goals since joining.

In this campaign, Granit made 40 appearances, scored four goals and provided five assists in all tournament. It is a great result, and he can do much more during the next season. The 26-year-old midfielder has contracted with Arsenal until 2023, and his release clause is around €50m.

His price could increase and become much more during this June. Swiss superstar is a regular member of the national team and also helped them to reach the playoff in 2018 Mundial, but after losing 1-0 against Sweden, they kicked out from the competition.

London club had terrible consequence in the Premier League as they finished the competition in a fifth place. Gunners lost the Europa League final against Chelsea 1-4 and missed the chance to get the Champions League ticket.

English club added several footballers last summer like Stephan Lichtsteiner from Juventus, Matteo Guendouzi from Lorient, Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria, Sokratis from Borussia Dortmund and Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen. Arsenal also signed Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez this January with a loan deal.
