€45m-rated Blues injured defender may skip Premier League game

Chelsea footballer Marcos Alonso still injured and he could miss the Premier League match against Burnley this weekend. It is terrible news for the London club as Emerson Palmieri is in terrible form and there are no more defenders in the club. Spain international has a good season and proves his worth one more time.

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are interested in signing him, and there will be a contest for the footballer. Spanish defender joined Chelsea from Fiorentina in 2016 with a €25m deal. He became an unchanged figure for the club and played many matches amazingly since joining.

In this campaign, Marcos already made 36 appearances, scored three goals and made seven assists in all competition. It is an impressive result, and he can improve his consequences during this season. Alonso has contracted with the London club until 2023, and his release clause is around €45m.

He is a regular member of the Furia Roja squad which is already a significant achievement for the player. Chelsea have excellent consequences in the Premier League as they are in a fifth place in the table and have a big chance to get the Champions League ticket.

English club also won the Europa League first quarter-final match with Slavia Praha 0-1 and have the opportunity to reach the semi-final. Blues added several players last summer like Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao, Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid and Jorginho from Napoli. London club also signed Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic and Juventus centre-forward Gonzalo Higuain this January.
