Croatian technically gifted defender revealed dissatisfaction with his current lack of playing time at Celtic Park

The-21-year old Croatia international defender Jozo Simunovic joined Celtic in the summer but has made just four appearances for Hoops so far this season due to a series of injuries but now talented defender hopes to stay fit and help team to win domestic treble.

“I was a bit sad as the injury stopped me and I missed a lot of games but this all behind me and the only crucial thing is I go forward in each game and it can only get better,” he said.

“It was frustrating at the beginning and I thank God that it wasn’t worse, but the only thing you can do is recover the best you can. Now I don’t want to think about it.

“I don’t know what will happen in the future but I will take it day by day, and I can’t change what has happened in the past. The most important time is what is coming.”

Simunovic has been tipped to be one of the best Croatian talents and Celtic fans hope to see him stay fit and play a key role for Hoops success.
