Chelsea’s Patrick Bamford joined Premier League outfit Norwich on a season-long loan

Chelsea have reached a season-long loan agreement with Norwich City for Patrick Bamford.

The-22-year old England U21 international agreed on a new three-year deal at Chelsea in 2015 but spent the early part of this season on loan at Crystal Palace.

Bamford, 22 did not score in nine outings, describing the spell as “disappointing” before returning to Chelsea.

While speaking about his mowe to Norwich Bamford said:”I’m really happy to be here, and the sooner I’m able to get involved the better.”

An impressive 2014-15 season on loan at Middlesbrough saw the England Under-21 international score 17 league goals in the Championship.

Norwich boss Alex Neil also praises talented striker: “He’s a young forward determined to make his way in the game, and adds competition for us at the top end of the pitch.”

Bamford, 22 – who has also had loan spells at Derby and MK Dons – has yet to score a Premier League goal.

He joins forward Steven Naismith, winger Matt Jarvis, defenders Ivo Pinto and Timm Klose, and midfielder Ben Godfrey to join the Canaries this month.

Bamford leaves Chelsea 24 hours after the Blues signed Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato on loan from Corinthians.

The West London giants new signings Alexandre Pato and Matt Miazga enjoyed their first training session at Cobham since joining the defending Champions.

The highly-rated duo completed their moves to Chelsea over the last two days and met their new team-mates.

The explosive Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato and the United States international defender Matt Miazga found themselves on opposing sides in a training game.

Chelsea Boss speaks about the £25 million agreement for Ramires

The-28-year old prolific Brazil international midfielder Ramires joined the Chinese outfit Jiangsu Suning, from Chelsea, for a fee of a £25 million On 27 January 2016.

Ramires, 28 spent six fabulous seasons with the West London giants, Brazilian midfielder had netted 37 goals in 246 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea.

Ramires had scored two goals in 12 Premier League appearances for the Blues this term but was allowed to leave for China after Jiangsu Suning had a £25 million bid for the midfielder accepted earlier this week.

Guus HiddinkThe defending Champions boss Guus Hiddink had already signed Alexandre Pato and Matt Miazga and hopes to land another highly-rated player at the Stamford Bridge to increase the offensive options and continue the race for the top four with Liverpool and Tottenham.

While speaking about the transfer, Guus Hiddink explained the reason he agreed to sell Ramires.

“We can [now] give the youngsters a chance as well to show themselves,” Hiddink said.”

“[Loftus-Cheek] did very well in training the other day and the youngsters will have opportunities. That made it easier towards the future to let Ramires go.”

The Dutchman is impressed with Loftus-Cheek progress and set to give him the more playing time.
