London club are being tipped to possibly go in for the transfer of AC Milan centre-forward Krzysztof Piatek if they’re allowed to sign footballers again this winter. The 24-year-old striker had a fantastic season and attracted European clubs attention. He joined Rossoneri from Genoa in January with a €35m deal.
Chelsea could do with strengthening front-line as soon as possible but were under a transfer ban during the summer, so have had to make do with what they have, leading to new coach Frank Lampard placing a lot of trust in youngsters like Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount.
Poland international, however, could be a major upgrade in the front-line and help Blues replace recently-departed attackers like Eden Hazard, Alvaro Morata and Gonzalo Higuain. Krzysztof is suggested as a possible target for the London club if their transfer ban is overturned this winter.
Rossoneri fans will surely be hoping they keep hold of Piatek, who has made a superb start to life in Serie A. Polish centre-forward has shown himself to be one of Europe’s deadliest strikers in recent times, scoring 30 goals in all tournaments last campaign in spells with both Genoa and Milan.
London club would surely benefit from this signing, and it looks there could be a reason to believe he’d be a serious option for them. Krzysztof is a regular member of the national team line-up which is already a big success for the centre-forward. It will be difficult for Chelsea to sign Piatek as Milan aren’t going to sell such a prominent figure.
