Chelsea plan to offer long-term contract to 21-year-old promising striker

London club have reportedly opened negotiations with the agent of centre-forward Tammy Abraham regarding a new contract for the U21 England international, with the Blues having also opened talks with another unnamed footballer over a new contract.

Tammy has been in excellent form for Chelsea so far this term, with the Striker’s hat-trick against Wolves at the weekend taking his Premier League tally for the campaign to seven goals in only five games. And now, it looks like Blues are set to reward Abraham’s recent brilliant form with a new contract with the London club.

Chelsea have opened negotiations with the 21-year-old centre-forward’s agent regarding extending his current contract with the Blues, with London club also opening negotiations with another player, who remains unnamed, over a new contract as well.

Given that English striker is ready to play a key role for the Blues first team this term, combined with the fact that the starlet has an abundance of potential in his locker, this decision looks like a wise one.

Blues can’t sign footballers until next summer, thus they’re going to have to put their faith behind Tammy and his goal-scoring abilities until next campaign at the earliest. He has a vast potential and can become a top-class striker if he continuous improvement.

And should Abraham sign a new contract with the club, it’ll show just how much faith Chelsea have in the forward, as they look to tie him down to a new long-term contract that’ll keep him at Stamford Bridge for the foreseeable future.
