Real Madrid and Chelsea have been given an easier run at Aurelien Tchouameni. That is because Juventus have pulled out of the battle to sign the midfielder from Monaco, as Dusan Vlahovic is their main target.
France international joined Monaco from Bordeaux in winter 2020 and has since established himself as one of the best midfielders in Ligue 1. His progress has also enabled Tchouameni to break into the French national side, and the midfielder played a crucial role in their UEFA Nations League triumph two months ago.
At Monaco, Aurelien has played 67 games for the principality club, chipping in with five goals and four assists in the process. His exploits for Les Monegasques has not gone unnoticed, with the 21-year-old midfielder popping up on the radars of some of the biggest teams in Europe, including Real Madrid, Chelsea and Juventus.
The interest from Los Blancos is understandable, considering there is no viable alternative to Casemiro in the first-team squad. With the Brazilian midfielder set to turn 30 soon and linked with several big teams around Europe, Real Madrid will need to add someone like the French midfielder.
On the other hand, the Blues need to lay down a succession plan for Kante, who has been hampered by too many injuries lately. As a result, the Frenchman is viewed as a viable target by Chelsea, who are reportedly looking to add him in the winter transfer window, if possible.
