Chelsea in bidding war for €65m-rated Ligue 1 centre-back

Chelsea are desperate to sign PSG defender Marquinhos Correa and ready to compete with Man United, Tottenham and Juventus for the footballer. Maurizio Sarri wants to strengthen the back-line, and his primary target is Brazil international who had an excellent season and proved his greatness one more time.

Gary Cahill decided to change the working place, David Luiz already 32-year-old, Andreas Christensen linked with several clubs, and they need replacement. Italian manager will do everything to sign him this summer, but it will be difficult as Red Devils, Spurs and Bianconeri also preparing to make an offer during the transfer window.

There will be a battle for the player, and his price could become much more. The 25-year-old centre-back joined the French club from Roma in 2013 with a €32m deal. He became an unchanged figure for the club and played many matches impressively since joining.

In this campaign, Brazilian defender made 44 appearances, scored four goals and provided two assists in all competition. It is a fantastic result, and he can improve his consequences during the next season. Marquinhos has contracted with the Parisians until 2022, and his release clause is nearly €65m.

He regularly plays in the national team and also helped them to reach the quarter-final in the 2018 World Cup, but after losing 2-1 with Belgium, they kicked out from the tournament. Probably Correa will accept the correct offer from the Italian coach. London club heavily linked with Roma centre-back Kostas Manolas, Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar and Napoli footballer Kalidou Koulibaly.
