The London club have been warned against signing Man United transfer targets Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham. Man United are believed to be at the front of the queue to sign Borussia Dortmund star Sancho and Birmingham City youngster Bellingham this summer.
But Blues have also been linked with moves for Jadon, who has become a key figure for Dortmund and England, and youngster Bellingham as Frank Lampard looks to strengthen his squad. Chelsea have been urged to avoid signing the duo, however, with ex-Blues defender Frank Sinclair questioning where the duo would fit in a London club.
‘Jadon Sancho is a fantastic footballer and a great talent, but he plays in same positions to the likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Willian Borges, so there will be tough tournament for places if he does join in the summer,’ Sinclair said.
‘Whether he is a Blues target, I don’t know, as Blues have more than enough footballers in those positions that can play in those wide places or in the Number 10 role they have many options. So, I don’t think that it is a position that Blues are panicking over, but if a player of Sancho’s skill becomes available, then you have to look at it.
‘There are rumours that he is a Blues fan as well, which will help. But for me, it’s not a position that Blues are desperate for.’ On Bellingham, Sinclair added: ‘He has to think about playing matches, getting better and improving as a player which I believe will be very difficult for him to do at Chelsea.
