Chelsea held negotiations with No.11 African superstar

Mohamed Salah is the subject of interest from the London giants over a move in the summer transfer window. Chelsea are eyeing the Liverpool winger as a possible alternative for Erling Haaland and Romelu Lukaku.

Egypt international has gone on to establish himself as one of the very best in the match since joining the Reds from Roma in the summer of 2017.

Over the last four years, Salah has been the leading light for Liverpool, winning the Premier League Golden Boot in two of his three completed campaigns till date while also playing a key role in their triumph in England and Europe.

To date, Mohamed has a fabulous record of 123 goals and 45 assists in 198 games for the Reds. His exploits have invariably attracted some of the biggest clubs in Europe, with Chelsea the latest entrants in the race to swoop him away from Anfield in the summer transfer window.

Blues interest in re-signing the Egyptian, who previously spent a couple of years with Chelsea, does make sense on a theoretical level. After all, not only is the Liverpool star well accustomed to the challenges of the PL while also being a solution to their attacking woes this campaign, with Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech blowing hot and cold.

To that end, the Egyptian superstar could come in to seamlessly fit into the Blues front-line, with Christian Falk suggesting the Liverpool star is being viewed as a potential alternative to Erling Haaland and Romelu Lukaku, who feature high on their wishlist.

Salah, meanwhile, is also being courted by PSG, meaning Blues will need to act fast in order to secure the services of Salah this summer.
