Chelsea determined to sign No.11 Egypt international

London giants are keen on re-signing Mohamed Salah in the summer transfer window. Chelsea have, in fact, lodged an offer with PL rivals for Egypt international, who is also the subject of interest from Juventus and PSG. Salah joined Liverpool from Roma in the summer of 2017, returning to the PL after having previously played for Blues.

Mohamed, though, shocked one and all by showcasing a prolific side of his game that was never seen before. In his very first campaign with Liverpool, the 28-year-old won the PL Golden Boot before doing a repeat one year later.

Liverpool’s top scorer in each of the campaigns since arriving in 2017, the Egyptian forward is leading the way for the PL champions this season as well. In all, the attacker has a brilliant tally of 120 goals and 45 assists in 193 matches for the Reds.

But, ahead of the summer transfer window, his future at Liverpool is uncertain, which has piqued the interest of the Blues and others. Chelsea strengthened their front-line quite heavily last summer as part of a squad overhaul that saw Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech join the club.

In addition, there have been claims that Christian Pulisic could be on his way out of the club in the summer, with Ziyech and Werner facing an uncertain future as well.

As a result, it is not hard to see why Blues could enter the transfer market for attacking reinforcements this coming summer, with Mohamed Salah a viable target for Chelsea, who have already tabled an offer to Liverpool for him.
