Chelsea closely monitoring £55m-rated Champions League winner

London club are desperate to sign Real Madrid attacker Isco and set to battle with Liverpool, Man United, Man City and Arsenal for the player. Blues have problems in the midfield as Mateo Kovacic will return to Madrid this summer, Cesc Fabregas moved to Monaco, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Danny Drinkwater linked with several clubs and their replacement are necessary.

Italian manager’s primary target is Spain international who also wants to change the working place and ready to listen to offers from the clubs. There will be a real battle for the footballer, and his price could increase and become much more. In this season, Isco already played 26 matches, scored five goals and made one assist in all tournament.

He is a regular member of the national team and also helped them to reach the playoff in the 2018 World Cup, but after losing in a penalty shoot-out against Russia, they kicked out from the competition. The 26-year-old midfielder joined the Los Blancos from Malaga in 2013 with a £30m deal.

He became a key figure for the club and played numerous matches amazingly since joining. Spaniard has contracted with Real Madrid until 2022, and his release clause is around £55m. It will be difficult to sign Isco as Los Blancos aren’t going to sell such an important figure during the transfer window.

Blues added several footballers last summer like Jorginho from Napoli, Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao and Matteo Kovacic from Real Madrid. London club also signed Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic and Juventus centre-forward Gonzalo Higuain.
