Chelsea are warming up an offer for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot in the winter. The London giants have looked at some midfielders who could add more dynamism to their side, and the 27-year-old midfielder has emerged as a surprise option.
Rabiot has had lots of ups and downs in his three-year stint in Turin as he has not really hit that spark which made the Bianconeri sign him on a free transfer in 2019. But Adrien has shown flashes of brilliance this campaign, as he has been picked on a regular basis by Massimiliano Allegri.
And the Frenchman has returned the favour by producing some eye-catching displays in the middle of the pitch. The Blues do not seem to have any ripple effects over the failed transfer and could fulfil France international’s demand for better compensation than his current wage.
They will hope it does not turn out to be another Saul Niguez saga after the Spanish player hardly had any minutes to justify his presence after securing a loan move from Atletico Madrid. The London giants are unlikely to have any competition for his signature, and it could be a smooth negotiation if both parties agree to a cut-price fee.
Despite the French midfielder playing regularly, the Old Lady do not have any intention to extend his stay and would be looking to cash in on the footballer as much as they can. It will be interesting to see if the Blues can land the French international in winter.
