Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in returning to the Premier League as he continues to be linked with London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham. Legendary coach Jose has been out of management since December 2018 when he was sacked by Man United.
The Portuguese manager won the Europa League and EFL Cup during his turbulent spell at Man United but failed to replicate the success he enjoyed at Stamford Bridge. Over two stints at London club, Jose bagged three Premier League titles, the FA Cup and three EFL Cups.
And the opportunity to become the first coach to win major titles at three different English clubs is enticing Jose back to the Premier League. Mourinho has often spoken of his passion for English football and has covered several Premier League fixtures this campaign as a pundit for Sky Sports.
Spurs have endured a shocking start to the campaign, losing four of their ten league fixtures to slip to 11th in the table, and suffered an embarrassing defeat to League One side Colchester United in the Carabao Cup.
Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with both Red Devils, and Real Madrid and Spurs could turn to proven coach Mourinho if the Argentine leaves Tottenham.
Unai Emery is also under huge pressure at Arsenal, with the Gunners winning just one of their last four league matches and showing little signs of improvements since Arsene Wenger’s departure.
Emery is expected to be given the campaign to turn things around, but if Arsenal continue to lose ground on the top four, the Gunners board may decide for a change. Arsenal squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Crystal Palace on Sunday.
