Celtic are on the verge of completing the deal for 6ft2 striker

Šćepović was expected to complete a permanent transfer to Getafe in January having joined on a season-long loan from Celtic but now the Hoops officials desperate to cut loan and recall the Serbian striker.

The Serbia international Stefan Šćepović 2made 18 Premiership appearances and scored just three goals for the Hoops after joining from the Deep Blues for €2m in September 2014.

Despite highly-rated attackers interest to continue to play for La Liga side Getafe where he has already scored three goals in 9 appearances in all competitions the Hoops will recall the striker earlier than predicted.

The 6”2” striker scored 23 goals for second division Sporting Gijón during the 2013-14 campaign and had attracted a lot of interest from around Europe. Obviously Šćepović has found a liking to being back in Spain, a place where he was one of the best before his move to England and Celtic.
