Borussia Mönchengladbach eager to sign No.10 Arsenal transfer target

Borussia Mönchengladbach are desperate to sign Lorient attacker Alexis Claude-Maurice and ready to compete with Arsenal for the footballer. Marco Rose wants to strengthen the front-line, and his primary target is the 21-year-old starlet who had an excellent campaign and paid attention.

Thorgan Hazard joined Borussia Dortmund, Raffael and Lars Stindl already up to 30 and they need replacement. German manager will do everything to sign him this July, but it will be difficult as Gunners also preparing to make an offer during the transfer window.

There will be a battle for the player, and his price could become much more. Alexis is a product of the French club youth academy and spent his current career with them. He has a vast potential and can become a top-class attacker if he continuous improvement.

In this season, Claude-Maurice played 36 matches, scored 14 goals and made four assists in all competition. It is an impressive result, and he can improve his consequences with high-class teammates. French starlet has contracted with the Les Merlus until 2021, and his release clause is around £10m.

Probably he will accept the correct offer from the German coach. The Foals had a fantastic result in the Bundesliga as they finished the tournament in a fifth place and got the Europa League ticket.

German club signed several footballers last summer like Alassane Plea from Nice, Andreas Poulsen from Midtjylland, Michael Lang from Basel, Keanan Bennetts from Tottenham and Torben Musel from Kaiserslautern. Borussia Mönchengladbach also added Stefan Lainer from RB Salzburg and Max Grun from Darmstadt.
