Bayern Munich in the battle to sign £200,000-a-week Liverpool forward

The Merseyside club have warned Bayern Munich that Mohamed Salah is not for sale this summer. German giants have reportedly joined Real Madrid and Barcelona in chasing Egypt international with CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge this week declaring him ‘ the Messi of Africa.’

Given the financial difficulties at the two La Liga sides, Bavarians could be best placed to launch a bid for Salah. But Liverpool have no intention of cashing in on their prized asset. Rumminigge said this week: ‘In my opinion, Salah is the Messi of Africa and of course he has the skills to play for the best teams in the world.’

‘What Salah has achieved can be compared to what Messi and Ronaldo did with Barcelona and Real Madrid.’ Salah initially sparked speculation over his future at Anfield after an interview in December, expressing his admiration for both Real and Barcelona and insisting his future is in Liverpool’s hands.’

‘I think Madrid and Barcelona are two top clubs,’  Mohamed said. ‘Who knows what will happen in the future, but right now I am focused on winning the Premier League and the Champions League with Liverpool again.’

When pressed, the Egyptian superstar added: ‘That’s a tough question, but right now I can say that everything is in the hands of the club. Of course, I want to break records here and, I repeat, all the club records, but everything is in the hands of the club.’
