Barcelona in the battle for €60m-rated Man United midfielder

Barcelona have entered the battle to add Man United midfielder Paul Pogba who is in the final year of his deal with the Red Devils and is also being pursued by Real Madrid, PSG and Juventus.

France international is currently in the sixth campaign of his second stint with the Red Devils, having returned on a club-record transfer deal from the Bianconeri. Since then, the French midfielder has not always been the most consistent performer but, when on the song, there are few better than him in this Man United side.

That has been the case since the turn of the year, with the Frenchman helping Man United finish as runners-up in the PL and UEL. The 28-year-old superstar has started the new season brilliantly as well, registering seven assists from only four league matches already.

However, with the French midfielder entering the final year of his contract, his future at Man United has become a subject of speculation. Real Madrid have been long-term admirers of the World Cup winner, with ex-coach Zizou having been keen on signing him for a while now.

And even though he is not in charge of Los Blancos anymore, president Florentino Perez stays a huge admirer of the French star and wants him at the Santiago Bernabeu next summer.

It is claimed that the Blaugrana president Joan Laporta held talks with Paul’s representative, Mino Raiola, with the Italian super-agent informing the Blaugrana’s chief that he could help convince the midfielder to consider a transfer to the Spanish club when his deal runs out.
