Joan Jordan is the subject of interest from the London giants over a potential move in the future. Arsenal are closely monitoring the 26-year-old midfielder, who has a €50m buyout clause in his Sevilla deal and is also being tailed by Juventus.
Joan joined Sevilla from Eibar in the summer of 2019 and has since gone on to establish himself as crucial footballer for the Spanish club. Now a mainstay in midfield for Los Nervionenses, Jordan continue to go from strength to strength and is enjoying a memorable 2020/21 season.
So far this term, Spain international has 2 goals and 7 assists in 42 games across all tournaments and his progress has invariably captured the attention of some of the biggest teams in the world. Chief among these are Gunners, who have been closely following his development for a few months now.
Gunners are seemingly keen on bolstering their midfield for a second successive summer and their reasons to do so are not unfounded. While Thomas Partey is likely to be a solution in midfield for a few years to come, Granit Xhaka is the only other consistent central midfielder who will likely be at Arsenal disposal come the summer transfer window.
Indeed, Dani Ceballos will return to Real Madrid upon the expiration of his loan deal and there are no guarantees that he will eventually join Arsenal permanently. In addition, Mohamed Elneny is only a squad option for Gunners while another midfielder, albeit a no. 10, in Martin Odegaard will also return to parent club Real Madrid in the summer.
