Arsenal on the verge of signing 19-year-old Brazilian forward

Arsenal are leading the battle for Sao Paulo winger Marquinhos. Wolves are also looking at the Brazilian attacker, although it looks Arsenal are in pole position. The Gunners are looking to add quality footballers to their squad in the summer window after a reasonably successful campaign under the Spanish manager.

Having signed six footballers under the age of 23, Arsenal have fielded the youngest clubs in this campaign’s PL on more occasions than anyone else. Arsenal are looking at a bit of experience this summer, as their close links to Gabriel Jesus tend to suggest.

At the same time, Mikel Arteta is looking to continue the trend of signing young, up and coming stars. The Gunners are looking for a wide attacker in the summer transfer window. They are reportedly prioritizing a move for Gakpo.

Other targets, such as Sterling, feature on their radar, but they might stick to the idea of bringing someone young and in line with the current age group of their forwards. The Gunners have had decent success with Brazilian footballers in recent years and are looking to continue this trend.

They have been linked with a few youngsters from the Brazilian league, such as Danilo. The latest name on their list is the 19-year-old attacker. Marquinhos is a versatile attacker who primarily plays on the right-hand side. The South American winger can also slot in through the middle, making him an attractive prospect for Mikel Arteta to consider.
