Arsenal keep a close eye on €50m-rated Brazilian centre-forward

Gabriel Jesus might be willing to move over to north London and join Arsenal in the summer, with the move progressing in the right direction. The London giants director Edu Gaspar has already initiated negotiations with the 25-year-old striker’s agent, although both teams are yet to discuss a transfer.

After a campaign of frustration, Brazil international has found himself in the spotlight following some scintillating displays for Man City. The Brazilian striker has scored five goals in the last two matches, including one with Real Madrid in the UCL semi-final.

Before that, the Brazilian started Man City’s PL game with Liverpool after a brief hiatus from the starting lineup. The South American striker proved his worth by netting against Jurgen Klopp’s team in an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium.

Despite his terrific form, Man City could still sell Jesus in the summer as they inch closer to securing Haaland’s signature. Moreover, Gabriel will enter his final year after the campaign ends, which may be the right time for the club to cash in.

The Gunners are interested in Gabriel as the Spanish coach stays in the hunt for a No.9. It is the position Jesus wants to play regularly in, considering he has been deployed out wide for most of the campaign at Man United. Arsenal like his mentality and the extensive experience in the PL he has under the belt.
