Arsenal join race to sign 20-year-old Premier League midfielder

Moises Caicedo is a target for three English teams, with Brighton expected to quote a huge price for the midfielder. Arsenal, Man United and West Ham United are the teams keen on signing Ecuador international, but the Seagulls may not be forced to sell.

The transfer window is shrinking, with only half a month left for teams to bolster their squads. Some big teams are still active in bringing in reinforcements, and there are outfits like Arsenal, Man United and West Ham looking for a new midfielder.

The 20-year-old has emerged as a target for those clubs, with each needing a midfielder of the Ecuadorian’s qualities. The problem is his long-term contract with the Seagulls, who do not need to make more sales before the window shuts down.

The Ecuadorian midfielder has been a big signing for the team and has shown his qualities in the last six months. He arrived from Independiente in winter 2021 and spent the whole year with Belgian club Beerschot. Since returning to Brighton, Caicedo has successfully replaced Yves Bissouma and started the new campaign in good form.

Moises’ display with Man United on the opening weekend has attracted interest from the Red Devils, West Ham United and Arsenal. The Seagulls have already conducted outgoing business through the sales of Marc Cucurella and Yves Bissouma.

And Brighton are in a good position to continue with their current squad, except for Neal Maupay, who is likely to depart from the Amex Stadium and join Nottingham Forest.
