Arsenal interested in signing 21-year-old French playmaker

The London giants are among the clubs rivalling Milan in pursuit of Amine Adli. Toulouse attacker is tipped to leave the French club in the summer, following an impressive season in Ligue 2, with the club ending up narrowly missing out on promotion.

Rossoneri are believed to be in pole position in the race to sign U18 France international, who is currently valued at €10m by Toulouse. His contract at the club expires in 2022, meaning the newly promoted Ligue 1 outfit will not have much leverage to drive up Adli’s price tag.

Their defeat to Nantes in the relegation play-off does not help either. A native of Eu, Amine is a homegrown talent who was playing his trade with the Toulouse Under-19 side before being promoted to the senior team in 2019. The 21-year-old playmaker was not involved much last campaign when the club was still playing in the top-flight.

This time around, however, the Frenchman has stepped up to the plate in the second division, scoring eight goals and registering seven assists in just 33 games. He has impressed the onlookers with his skill on the ball, coupled with his pace and dynamism. Adli’s contributions in front of goal were vital in helping Toulouse finish third in Ligue 2 this past campaign.

Amine’s exploits in front of goal have now earned him praise from several clubs across Europe. Arsenal, for one, are determined to sign the prospect, knowing his €10m price tag makes him an ideal target for a club that is suffering from financial instability, thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic.
