Arsenal held negotiations with 21-year-old Sweden international

The London giants are reportedly considering a move for Juventus forward Dejan Kulusevski in the upcoming winter transfer window. Arsenal have improved significantly in recent months after a woeful first couple of months of the 2021-22 PL campaign and currently sit 4th in the league table, ahead of the likes of West Ham United, Man United and Tottenham.

Despite the upturn in form, the Spanish manager wants to beef up his squad for a challenging second half of the campaign. The Gunners are eyeing a winter swoop for Sweden international, who is keen for regular action after making only four starts this campaign.

Dejan just joined the Bianconeri from Parma last year, but he has failed to earn the trust of coach Max Allegri this campaign, netting only once in 15 games. Kulusevski has a deal in Juventus until 2025 but wants to enjoy regular playing time to ensure he keeps developing and unlocks his true potential.

The Gunners have been linked with the 21-year-old winger of late, and they could move for the Old Lady winger if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is sold in winter. Gabon international was stripped of captaincy last week after his latest disciplinary breach.

The African striker’s future at Arsenal is looking increasingly bleak after his banishment from the Gunners first-team training. There are high chances the Gabonese striker will be offloaded next month.

With Alexandre Lacazette into the final year of his contract and Nicolas Pepe set to leave for the AFCON in winter, the Spanish manager could do well by reinforcing his attacking options.
