Arsenal are desperate to sign €20m-rated Serbia international

The London giants will almost certainly be in the mix for a centre-forward in the summer. A man worshipped by Lionel Messi himself has to be right at the top of their wish list. Luka Jovic seems like a man who is on borrowed time at Real Madrid.

Serbia international has played only 11 games for Real Madrid in two campaigns and could be on his way out. Last campaign Jovic was on loan with Eintracht Frankfurt. Luka fired four times in 18 matches and desperately needs to rediscover some confidence.

The 23-year-old striker has played in only 60 minutes of Real Madrid’s La Liga campaign so far and looks out of favour under the Italian manager. Los Blancos parted with £52m for the Serbian centre-forward in 2019, and he’s unlikely to come overly cheap.

With the financial situation at Real Madrid under scrutiny, however, there could be possibilities. The Gunners seem ready to lose Alexandre Lacazette in the summer. France international will be out of the deal, and an extension doesn’t look to be forthcoming.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is still at Arsenal, of course, although he isn’t getting any younger. With that in mind, a younger centre-forward would be ideal, and the Serbian could be Arsenal’s talisman for years to come.

The Gunners have turned a mini corner under the Spanish manager. If he can lead the team back into Europe next campaign, then signing someone like Luka Jovic could be a possibility.
