Arsenal almost finished negotiations with No.11 South American starlet

Everton Soares will be moving to the Premier League as the Brazil attacker has been filmed learning English. The Gunners transfer target is thought to be close to confirming a £36m move to the London club, and Arsenal doctor has been sent to Brazil to conduct medical exams of the forward.

Everton has already dropped a small hint that he is heading to the Emirates, by following new signing Gabriel Martinelli on Instagram, and now another clue has arrived. Soares wife, Isa Ranieri, posted on her Instagram Story on Thursday a string of videos of her husband learning English from his phone.

Brazil international appeared to master the words ‘dress’, ‘jacket’ and ‘hat’ as he begins to get a grasp of the new language. Gremio superstar became a target for the Gunners when it became apparent that they could not meet Crystal Palace’s valuation of Wilfried Zaha.

The 23-year-old winger appears to be available at less than half the price of the £80m the London club were quoted for the Ivorian star. Arsenal technical director Edu is believed to have met with the player’s agent last week and knows Soares well having worked as general coordinator of the Brazil national team before returning to London.

The Gremio winger was an unlikely star of the Copa America over the summer, scoring three goals in the competition and winning the Man of the Match award in the final as Brazil beat Peru 3-1. Man United, Man City, Atletico Madrid, Milan and Bayern Munich have all also been linked with a move for Everton.
