Chelsea are showing a keen interest in Borussia Monchengladbach winger Thorgan Hazard, according to stories ts in Germany.
The younger brother of Eden Hazard spent three seasons at Stamford Bridge from 2012 to 2015, however, failed to make a first-team appearance for Chelsea and was sent out on loan to both Zulte Waregem and Monchengladbach.
The 24-year-old Hazard finalized a permanent switch to Monchengladbach in February 2015 and the Belgium international has since netted 16 goals in 69 Bundesliga appearances for the German giants.
Bild suggests Chelsea are keen on re-signing The midfielder and have placed the attacking player on their transfer shortlist.
The Belgian’s younger brother, Kylian, completed a move to Stamford Bridge last summer, however, is yet to play a game for Antonio Conte’s first-team.
Asked about recent transfer rumours [Thorgan] Hazard claimed: “If you play well in your club and help your team win, that makes one, of course, interesting for big clubs. At the moment, only Borussia counts for me.
“And that the club will qualify for Europe again.”
It’s believed Monchengladbach are asking for a fee of around £18million for the attacker.
