Antonio Conte eyes reunion with £25m Croatian

Chelsea’s Italian manager Antonio Conte wants The Blues to land Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic after Romelu Lukaku committed his future to Everton for another campaign, according to the British media.

The Sunday Mirror are suggesting that Chelsea head coach still wants to reinforce his attacking options this summer despite Lukaku spurning the opportunity to rejoin Chelsea in favour of staying at Everton.

The article suggests that Conte wants to land a proven goal-scorer able of firing his side to the Premier League crown despite already owning Diego Costa and Michy Batshuayi.

And the story suggests that Chelsea could switch to Mandzukic is possible at around £25m after just one campaign in Turin.

The West Londoners have made an awesome start of the campaign under the Italian manager after consecutive London derby wins.

The Blues were 2-1 winners against West Ham United at Stamford Bridge last week after a 2-1 triumph over Watford at Vicarage Road.

Meanwhile, Portuguese keeper Eduardo is set to sign for Chelsea next week.
According to Record, the move is all but done, and the footballer is only waiting for the Champions League game against Red Bull Salzburg next Wednesday to play his final match for Dinamo Zagreb.

The veteran keeper is expected to secure a one-year deal with Chelsea. He was close to joining Portuguese side Sporting, however, Chelsea’s offer is believed to be way more beautiful.

The record suggests that the signing is “blessed” by Gianluca Sipnelli, Conte’s shot-stopper’s coach who worked with Eduardo in his time at Genoa.
But, it’s still uncertain if the Portuguese star is arriving to be The Blues third shot-stopper or if he’s taking the position of Asmir Begović as the club’s Second-choice keeper.

In his career, Eduardo operated for Braga, Vitória Setúbal, Beira-Mar, Genoa, Benfica, Istanbul BBSK and Dinamo Zagreb.

With 35 games for the Portuguese national side, the goalkeeper was member of the squad who obtained the Euros this year.
