£80m-rated Man United transfer target signed new contract with club

Jan Oblak signed a new long-term contract with Atletico Madrid amid Red Devils interest. It is bad news for the Englisch club as they need a new top-class shot-stopper to strengthen the squad. Slovenia international is the best option in this situation as he has an excellent campaign and proves his worth one more time.

Ole Gunnar will do everything to add him in July when the transfer window opens again. Oblak joined the Spanish club from Benfica in 2014 with a £15m deal. He became a No.1 goalkeeper in the club and amazed everyone with his performances. In this season, Jan already played 41 games and made 18 clean sheets in all tournament.

It is a fantastic result, and he can do much more during this campaign. Slovenian shot-stopper has contracted with Atletico Madrid until 2023, and his release clause is nearly £80m. His price could increase and become much more during this season.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper is a regular member of the national team which is already a significant achievement for the player. Los Rojiblancos have a terrible result in this campaign as they are in a second place in La Liga table and kicked out from the Champions League and Copa del Rey.

Spanish club signed several footballers last summer like Thomas Lemar from Monaco, Gelson Martins from Sporting, Rodrigo Hernandez from Villarreal, Nikola Kalinic from Milan, Santiago Arias from PSV and Antonio Adan from Real Betis. Atletico Madrid also added Chelsea centre-forward Alvaro Morata this January with a season-long loan deal.
